Starting in 2025, Oyate Concern accepts up to five students a year in our indigenous leader training program.
This program consists of 22 class weeks and 4ministry application weeks. Students participate in 24 condensed courses divided into Biblical Knowledge, Ministry Training, Pastoral Depth, and Community Engagement.
During the training, each student designs a program to implement in the community. Every student is guaranteed the opportunity to launch that program in the community for four weeks as Oyate Concern staff members, utilizing ministry resources, buildings, volunteers, curriculum, and staff. Depending on fit and funding, students may continue to operate this program in the community as permanent Oyate Concern staff members upon completion of the 26 week training.
Each student is hired as a staff member for the duration of the training and is provided with course texts, workbooks, and a laptop free of charge.
