Nugget and Cactus are hard working quarter-horses at Wówaš’ake Stable. They work during lessons and horse camp, as well as sessions with classes of school kids. 

Each time a kid brushes, hoof picks, leads, or rides Nugget or Cactus, they also learn valuable truths about who God created them to be and how God cares for each of us.

In order to do their work, Nugget and Cactus need hay, minerals, hoof trimming, supplements, and supplies like stock tanks, fencing, a round pen, and more. Wówaš’ake Stable programs also need curriculum, supplies, meals for kids, gas for vans to pick up kids, and gear like boots, helmets, saddles, blankets, lead ropes, halters, brushes, hoof picks, and more.

In order to serve all the kids we do, we also need a part time ranch hand to work with Nugget and Cactus on the weekends, and help with lessons.

Oyate Concern is a donor-funded ministry. We are a 501c3 organization, and receive no state or federal funding. As a Christian ministry in an impoverished community, we provide food, education, and pastoral counseling, as well as the spiritual light and love of a church that makes disciples on a multi-generational level. As a missional agency of the body of Christ, we are grateful for how God connects us to churches, individuals, and families who feel a burden to partner with us in ministry.

Are Donations Tax Deductible?

Donations are tax deductible, and receipts are sent in January for donations made the previous year. In-kind receipts can be made upon request for physical items donated (or professional services rendered).
