The Staff

Dyer Family - Arlo, Rob, Kathi, Ayren, Aubrey, Drew and Rylee Dyer

Rob Dyer LSW, Pastor, Oyate Concern Field Director

Rob graduated from Malone College with a degree in social work.  He subsequently worked as a discharge planner in two inner city Columbus hospitals before moving to the reservation and becoming a counselor in one of the reservation elementary schools for three years.  He became an ordained minister through Oyate Concern.

The Field Director is the principal executive officer of the corporation.  He runs the day to day aspects of the ministry.  He teaches in all of the programs, coordinates the summer ministry's team program, drives the bus, leads the music and oversees development.


Kathi Dyer - Oyate Concern Staff

Kathi graduated from Malone College, Canton, Ohio in 1989 with a Bachelor’s of Science, majoring in Accounting and Business Administration.  She worked, subsequently, in an accounting firm in Columbus, Ohio.  She has worked alongside Rob with at-risk youth for over 18 years.  She has volunteered in 3 inner-city ministries.  She has been a teaching parent in 2 group homes, one for teen moms.

She also performs the bookkeeping and other administrative tasks for the ministry.  Kathi is the administrator of Oyate Concern Christian Elementary, as well as a teacher in the preschool and kindergarten.


Angela Roller
Oyate Concern Youth Worker
Angie Roller graduated from Bluffton University in 2007 with a degree in social studies. During her youth she was actively involved in Xenos Christian Fellowship and thereafter, Linworth Road Community Church. She received training and served as a leader and participant in several conferences including Leadership Training, Faithwalkers, Christian Community Development Association, and Dare2Share. In college she performed with the worship dance team, became involved with United in Christ United Methodist Church, and served as a resident advisor on campus. She has also gained cross cultural experience by studying Spanish for six years, working in a restaurant with Hispanic people, hosting an exchange student, and spending a month in Brazil.

Since June 2007 she has been a youth worker at Oyate Concern on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Her position includes teaching at Oyate Concern Christian Elementary, directing the Blow Out children's program, and leading and mentoring young teens.
